Plectin recombinant protein: a key cytoskeletal linker protein regulating prostate cancer growth and metastasis
This article focuses on the molecular characteristics and biological functions of Plectin, systematically elaborating its high expression features as a cytoskeletal linker protein in localized and metastatic prostate cancer tissues, analyzing the inhibitory effects of Plectin knockout on prostate cancer cell growth in vitro, clonogenic formation, and in vivo xenograft tumor growth, and exploring the impact of Plectin loss on distant metastatic colonization and overall metastatic burden as well as its proteomic mechanisms.
