IL-33 Biotinylated Protein: Functional Analysis and Research Tools of a Type 2 Immunity Alarmin
This article focuses on the molecular characteristics and biological functions of interleukin-33 (IL-33), systematically elaborating its expression regulation and activity modulation mechanisms as an IL-1 family alarmin in barrier tissues, analyzing the functional network by which IL-33 activates type 2 immune cells such as ILC2s, mast cells, eosinophils, and Th2 cells through the ST2 receptor, and exploring the pathological driving role of IL-33 in type 2 inflammatory diseases such as allergic asthma as well as its targeted therapeutic potential.
