ACVR2B Recombinant Protein: A Core Type II Receptor for TGF-β Superfamily Signal Transduction
This article focuses on the molecular characteristics and signal transduction functions of activin receptor type IIB (ACVR2B), systematically elaborating its domain composition and tissue expression distribution as a type II serine/threonine kinase receptor of the TGF-β superfamily, analyzing the molecular mechanisms by which it forms heterodimeric complexes with type I receptors to mediate the intracellular transmission of activin signals, and exploring the differential roles of the canonical SMAD2/3 pathway and non-canonical MAPK, SMAD1/5/8, and NOX4-ROS pathways under conditions of muscle development, neural function, and pathology.
